Finally, a post!

I have not fallen off the face of the earth or been ignoring our readers but I have simply been traveling and am currently stateside.

I travel home about once a year to re-connect with family, friends and sponsors and share what our ministry is doing in Ukraine.

This year, I decided to take a blogging break during my time home, so I could focus as much time as possible on relationships and so I could spend my free time outside in the spring sunshine. I found that my mind and body really needed a break from the intense city lifestyle of Kyiv. I felt it would be good to spend time off the computer and have a break from writing posts. I love blogging but have been doing it without a serious break for, I think, a little over 3 1/2 years.

During my time home, I have been greatly encouraged by how interested people are in our work and ministry to Ukrainian street children. I love representing our ministry and sharing about the hard work our staff and leaders are doing to affect change in these children's lives.

So posts here may be slow in coming over the next few weeks. I will post regularly when I am back in Kyiv. To tide you over, here is a great post that my friend Emily wrote about an experience she and Lori had meeting some children who live on the streets. To read the post, click HERE.
